Aroma Fresh cultivates 5 hectares of greenhouse basil, using since 2 years 100% Gentile basil seeds provides  by NIA  Seeds, the exclusive distributor for Kenya of aromatic herbs under the SAIS IL BUON SEME brand.

“  I took this decision after trying numerous other varieties; Gentile stands out because the plant is vigorous with short internodes, the leaf is large, thick and heavy, with an intense aroma. It has good regrowing capacity after cutting and the final productivity is really surprising .”

Thanks to the promotion work for Gentile basil carried out by NIA SEEDS in Kenya and word-of-mouth from stakeholder farmers , SAIS Gentile basil has gained visibility among numerous Kenyan producers and traders who export to Northern Europe, taking advantage of its resistance to Downey Mildew, high yield, and characteristic Italian basil aroma.
