PEPPER GIUBILEO: UNUSUAL COLOR FOR SAUDI ARABIA BUT AL AREEN INTENDS TO PROMOTE IT AS A VALUE ADDED PRODUCT

Engineer Arif Ali, technical manager of Al Areen, Sais distributor in Saudi Arabia, after 3 years of experimentation intends to introduce into the Saudi Market  the pepper Giubileo variety, producing conical fruits with bright yellow color when ripe.

Although yellow pepper is not widespread in Saudi Arabia,” says Engineer Atif Ali, “Al Areen intends to promote GIUBILEO pepper on the Saudi market thanks to its high productivity and to the the large size of the fruit with a beautiful appearance for both green and yellow shades at harvest.

The traders who have seen it have expressed interest and consider it a value added product  that can be offered tricolor (green – yellow – red) packaging.”

Pictures have been taken at company’s MUSHRQEEH premises in AL QASSEM, under the supervision of the local agronomist of AL AREEN, plats had been transplanted on February, 28^th 2024 and fruits were harvested starting from May 10^th, 2024
