PACKAGING AS A GUARDIAN OF SAIS’ QUALITY AND IDENTITY

Today, vegetable seed packaging is no longer just a simple container, but a key technological item that must strike a balance between protection, logistical efficiency, and corporate image.

In a global market, vegetable seed packaging must address complex challenges to satisfy both importers and end users.

The key requirements for modern packaging include:

  • Durability and preservation: It must withstand long-distance transport and handling while ensuring that the seed’s germination capacity is fully preserved against moisture and external factors.
  • Logistical efficiency and cost-effectiveness: Weight and volume must be optimized to facilitate storage and reduce shipping costs, while maintaining a competitive price-to-quality ratio.

  • Identity and modernity: each package serves as an ambassador for the brand, embodying the company’s values and conveying reliability and innovation through a contemporary design featuring distinctive elements.

We at  SAIS Sementi, have developed an extremely diverse range of packaging options.allowing us to operate sucessfully in Italy and in over 75 countries all over the world and across various market segments and through multiple sales channels,

Here is the strategic vision of Mr. Gaetano Giordano, manager of our packaging warehouse:

“Our department serves as the link where the results of research and production are transformed into finished products to be shipped to customers. We carry out approximately 3,000 shipments per year within Italy, 300 within Europe, and 350 outside the EU.

We work every day to ensure that every type of seed receives the container best suited to its characteristics and final destination, and to optimize production efficiency in order to satisfy both the customer and the end user.

Our product range includes everything from pouches for the hobby market to jars, from aluminum foil to cardboard boxes, and bags of various sizes, all available under our different brands.

Thanks to modern packaging lines, automated processes, and rigorous quality control to prevent errors, we are able to handle a wide range of formats—both by weight and by unit—to meet diverse needs.

Finally, we must use outer packaging suitable for shipment by courier, truck, ship, or plane.

Rigorous checks ensure that every customer—whether domestic, European, or non-EU—receives a product that is intact, easily identifiable, and ready for distribution to the end consumer.
