ABOUT US: CONVERSATION WITH CANO BROTHERS – PULMIC AGRO (HONDURAS)

Luis, Enrique and Rafael Cano – PULMIC AGRO

We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with the three Cano brothers Enrique, Luis and Rafael at their company PULMIC AGRO in San Pedro Sula.

We  discussed our ongoing collaboration and the challenges of the seed market in Honduras.

SAIS: After years of working together, how do you perceive the impact of SAIS products on your local operations?

ENRIQUE: For us, the consistency of SAIS  quality is what allowed us to build trust with our growers.

SAIS : Which SAIS seeds are mainly requested ?

RAFAEL: Coriander, Red Radish, Red Onion are the most required SAIS  seeds every season over.

SAIS: In what areas do we need to improve?

LUIS: Logistics, I mean time and costs to get seeds from Italy. Sais and Pulmic teams are strongly working together to reduce the logistics impact .

SAIS: What makes SAIS distinguishing ?

RAFAEL: Definitely the consistent communication and the shared vision. We are yearly visited by SAIS. It feels like a joint action plan rather than a simple supplier-client relationship.

SAIS :What is the main goal for our next season together?

CANO BROTHERS : bringing innovation directly to the fields. Through Eng. Roger Mejica , that promotes hybrids to stakeholder farmers, we are focused on testing and introducing new SAIS sweet peppers and hybrid pink onions .

SAIS is thankful towards the Cano brothers for their friendliness and shared strategic alignment.
