A LOOK INTO SAIS : BEYOND THE HARVEST: SAIS’S OPERATIONS IN FEBRUARY
In agricolture and in the seed industry, February is often described as a transition month. At SAIS, however , it is a period of extraordinary overlap, where the conclusion of one season meets the beginning of the next.
Currently, our facilities are buzzing with the final processing, analysis, and packaging of seeds from the previous campaign. Simultaneously, we are already back in the fields, setting up the greenhouses on breeding station, checking the emergence of biennial seed crops down before winter and making the 2026 annual seed crops sowings .
This delicate balance of past and future is managed alongside the daily demands of global logistics, as we coordinate on this month the peak of shipments to our customers in Italy and across 75 countries worldwide. Our sales team is traveling worldwide , attending trade fairs , congresses and conducting customer visits to define the 2026 commercial programs.
Managing at our internal such a concentration of activities connected each others requires an experienced professional team ,an efficient ERP system and continuous investments in technology.
The recent integration of advanced processing and packaging machinery, has significantly enhanced our operational capacity allowing our team to manage the current peak in workload with precision and speed .
