ELONGATED TOMATOES: SAIS PROPOSALS
In the segment of elongated tomatoes, Sais propose two varieties obtained to satisfy different transplanting conditions along the year.
Both varieties are suitable to be harvested as salad tomato and red tomato, fully ripened.
For summer transplanting, in south mediterranean area, Sais suggest variety 112SA604 F1.
The vigour and the intermediate resistance to TYLC, allow to deal with transplanting from the end of July onwards.
The plant is vigorous with high leaf surface, good fruit-setting, even at the top of the plant.
Fruits, as per Sais tradition, have good quality: medium dark green, very bright and full red at ripening. Pulp is firm and with good shelf life. (HR:ToMV/Fol:0/Va/Vd IR:TSWV/Ma/Mi/Mj).
Sais suggest TORRANO F1 for “counterseason” transplanting and from January onwards
Torrano, well known for high quality, is medium vigorous plant with good yielding.
Fruits are medium sized, very uniform along the cluster and the plant. They have a dark green colour, very bright and very beautiful at turning stage. At full ripening the red is bright and uniform.
Pulp is firm and with good shelf life.
