ETS MOHAMED MEZGHANI CUSTOMER OF THE YEAR 2023

In September 2023 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the SAIS – ETS MOHAMED MEZGHANI collaboration for the distribution of seeds in Tunisia and Libya,  we have awarded with a plaque the Ets Mohamed Mezghani company, today represented by the brothers M’ Hamed and Hibrahim Mezghani.

This award means expressing our gratitude to the company Ets Mohamed Mezghani for having contributed to the business growth of Sais and for having ensured that today Sais is an appreciated brand in North Africa.

The business relationship began in 1993, with Mr. Mohamed Mezghani at the helm of the company, a man of high human and professional depth and far-sightedness and M’Mhamed and Hibrahim still “rookies”.

Following the solid principles of their father, the children expanded the business and created other companies.

Today Mohamed’s son M’Hamed, current president, says:

At the time, the vegetable seed market in Tunisia was dominated by French companies.

Thanks to the seriousness of the company, its ability to renew itself and the quality of its varieties, SAIS has stood out compared to other companies that have attempted to enter the Tunisian market without succeeding and has gradually acquired growing shares, becoming today a highly reliable and visible brand.

The swisschards, the onions Rouge d’Amposte, the peas Alderman 1/2 rama Falchetto, the cherry radishes, the Au Producer SAIS watermelon have now become reference varieties for Tunisian and Libyan farmers.

The spicy peppers Busillis F1 and Nova Bi Ka F1, the squashes Annibal F1 and Asdrubal F 1, the watermelons Adelante F1, Joud F1 and Arriba F1 acquire the approval of the producers every year.

The main quality of Sais is the ability to listen to its customers and understand their needs. The numerous varieties that Sais has produced and created specifically for our market are proof of this.”

Ets Mohamed Mezghani and the other 2 companies of the Mezghani family, Casa Agri and Societe’ Pulvérisateurs Tunisienne, are among the main distributors of agricultural products in Tunisia.

They own 8 retail stores and thanks to an efficient technical-commercial organization made up of a dozen agronomists, they supply over 300 retailers and nurseies located throughout the country.

They also have relationships with some major distributors in Libya.

A peculiarity of Ets Mohamed Mezghani is to have only women as sales assistants for seeds and agricultural products in its shops.

“Women show high professional loyalty and respond with gratitude and commitment to the responsibilities entrusted to them,” says Engineer M’Hamed Mezghani.

As a guarantee of continuity for the future, a member of the third generation of the Mezghani family, Engineer Ismail, has recently joined the company, to whom we extend our best wishes for a fruitful career, and who will soon be followed by other sisters and cousins.
