ABOUT US : “SAIS CONTINUES TO BE A REFERENCE BRAND IN UKRAINE”

We have recently met Dr Taras Kostyuk, President of Kouel, distributor of SAIS seeds in Ukraine.

Without going into political details, he told us the following:

“Horticulture in Ukraine has undergone a change in production areas, moving more to the western areas of the country and to the areas surrounding the large cities.

Despite the objective difficulties the country is undergoing, horticulture remains one of the main activities and source of livelihood for the population. Obviously operators have had to adapt to current conditions.

The SAIS brand has been distributed in Ukraine for about twenty years and is handed out to distributors, retailers and farmers throughout the country and it is recognized as a quality brand.

The Crimson Sweet Au producer Watermelon, the Giant of Italy Parsley, the Giant Siculo Radish and the Dark Dill are among the most widespread product varieties,  which have been gradually  joined by hybrid varieties.

The hybrid varieties currently collecting the favor of Ukrainian farmers are Surprise F1 and Arriba F1 Watermelons,  Teti F1 Aubergine,  Savio F1, Satrapo F1, Mannal F1, Ascanio F1 and Samurai F1 Peppers and Sybilla F1 and Pitagora F1 Tomatoes.

The volumes of seeds exported by Sais in Ukraine have slightly increased in the last 2 seasons.”
