AN IMPORTANT UPDATE ON SAIS VEGETABLE SEED CROPS : 2025 WILL NOT BE REMEMBERED AS A PARTICULARLY GOOD YEAR IN TERMS OF QUANTITY .

With approximately 90 % of our 2025 crops now harvested, we feel it is our responsibility to communicate the results of our harvests with full transparency.

The season was marked by unpredictable weather patterns during the whole growing cycle. The sowing time was generally post poned for both biannual and annual crops because of rains.

Alternating  periods of high temperatures and cold snaps, followed by significant rainfall during the critical harvesting period led to lower yields than we had expected  for across several of our key crops.

Our commitment to providing our customers with the highest quality seeds and exceptional service remains unwavering.

We are utilizing our expertise and sophisticated machineries to ensure we can meet our quality standards.

Our team is currently processing and testing the final lots, and we will have a clearer picture of final quantities in the coming weeks.

However, based on what we’ve seen so far, we anticipate that our harvest for certain species will be below our projected needs.

The crops  we expect to be in short supply this season include:

* Basils

* Cabbages and brassicas in general .

* Onions

* Peas

* Parsleys

* Radishes

* Rockets

* Turnips

A prudent diversification of some of our productions on our selected stock seed in foreign countries under our control will allow us to make up for the low yields in Italy and therefore have some quantities to offer our customers.

To help us ensure product availability, we ask our partners to submit their orders as early as possible, even for post poned delivery .

This production shortage, with consequent economic compensation to the seed growers , will inevitably lead to an increase in market prices for the 2025/26 season.

Sais is committed to mitigating these price increases as much as possible .

We are grateful towards our customers for their understanding and cooperation .
